Workers' Memorial Day 2021

April 28, 2021

Everyone wants to come home at the end of the day, but sadly, many lives have been claimed by work-related injuries.

In April of 1970, Workers’ Memorial Day was established to recognize workers who died or suffered from exposures to hazards at work. Observing Workers’ Memorial Day can be an important part of promoting safety and honoring those who have given their lives while on the job. It also encourages us to:

  • take steps to make sure there are fewer of these incidents in the future
  • think of ways in which we all can help to achieve the goal of safer and healthier workplaces
