The goal of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)'s annual event is a nationwide effort to increase awareness on the importance of workplace safety and of the key role safety professionals play in reducing risks that workers face. Safety programs can help employers and workers identify and manage workplace hazards before they cause injury or illness. Throughout this week, organizations are encouraged to host events and activities that showcase the core elements of an effective safety and health program.
